1. How do I know if my bra is fitting properly?

A perfectly fitted bra will support your breast from the bottom and sit firmly but not tightly around you. None of your support should come from the shoulder. Your bra should never ride up your back, and your breasts should never touch together in between. The right bra fitted properly should be the most comfortable thing you wear.

2. How do I fix my shoulder straps from falling off my shoulders?

There are many little ‘fixes’ for this issue. Strap Doctor is an ideal choice as it is a silicone piece that is attached on the underside of your bra strap and ‘stays’ on your shoulder without sticking.

If that does not appeal to you, a ‘joiner’ or a clip that would pull your straps together at the back might be your best option. Also, loosen your shoulder strap and make sure your band around is sitting nice and low on your back – this will help. But have your bra checked by a fitter to determine if the style or design of the bra is correct for you.

3. Are there any health concerns for wearing an underwire bra? No. As a matter of fact, a properly fitted full support bra has great health benefits. Make sure you are wearing the bra that is designed for what you are doing.

4. Do I have to wear an underwire bra? No. Where the underwire bra will give you the best support, you don’t have to wear one if you don’t wish to. There are many very good wireless bras to choose from.

5. What can I do about the rash under my breasts? A rash under your breasts is a clear indication that your bra is not supportive enough or does not fit. Having your bra fitted properly is paramount. This will separate your breast from sitting on your body and allow air flow underneath. Ask us in store about a safe and natural fabric comfort band which will provide comfort, relief, and healing, and the rash should be cleared up in about a week.

6. What is the difference between a sport bra and a leisure bra? A proper workout bra or sport bra is made of breathable wicking fabrics to keep you dry and is designed for support to protect the breast tissue from stretching while you work out. A leisure bra is a very light support comfort top that offers little or no support under the breast. For your workouts choose the best support. For the end of the day when you’re ready to relax, choose your leisure bra.

7. How often should I get fitted for a bra? Our bodies change through our lives, even if we keep our weight the same. Have your bra properly fitted each time you buy a new bra. If your bra is older than a year, have it fitted again to ensure you are getting the support you require.

8. What are my options to disguise my ‘very defined silhouette’? A silicone nipple cover that has an adhesive to ensure it says on your skin is an ideal option. Otherwise, a ‘sponge’ nipple cover is cool and comfortable in your bra. A padded cup may not be your best support for a heavier breast but can be another option.

9. If I gain or lose 5-10 pounds, will my bra still fit? Every person is different, but generally one would have to gain or lose a bit more to require a size different in your bra. It’s best to have your bra re-fitted as your weight changes to make the small strap adjustments needed to keep you comfortable and with the best support.

10. What’s the best way to care for my bra? It is always best to wash your bra by hand every day or every second day. Wash it out in a sink with tepid water and use a biodegradable fabric wash – do not soak. Rinse under running water and hang from the center of the cup – not by the strap. Detergents made with bleaches or fabric softeners are not ever a good choice. If you prefer to wash your bra in a washing machine, use a proper wash bag or wash cage for best results.

11. Where can I find a bathing suit in my larger cup size? There are a few companies that offer cup size options in their swimsuit collections. The perfect one is likely in stock now.
